Það var þann 1. september sem við fjölskyldan lögðum af stað til Chile og voru það Stefán, Elsa, Krista (2 og hálfs) og Vala. Já ferðin tók langan tíma frá Íslandi. Við flugum fyrst til New York og þaðan til Lima (höfuðborg Peru), síðan til Santiago sem er að sjálfsögðu höfuðborg Chile. Þaðan tókum við vél til Puerto Montt en sú vél millilenti á tveim stöðum. Við vorum því mjög þreytt og lúin eftir þetta flug (og öll þolinmæði búin). En við vorum sæl með að ferðin gekk vel og allir frískir og Krista litla bara ansi kát. Bærinn sem við búum í heitir Puerto Varas og er um 30 km frá Puerto Montt. Þetta er lítið sveitaþorp og mjög friðsælt. Hér búa ekki nema um 30. þús. Hér búa margir útlendingar og er það sérstaklega vegna laxeldis en einnig eru margir með búgarða hér. Við vonum að þessi síða gefi fjölskyldum og vinum einhverja innsýn á lífið hérna úti, en það er mjög ólíkt lífinu heima á Íslandi. En þeir sem vilja koma og sjá það með berum augum og fá það beint í æð eru velkomnir til okkar ! Já vonandi hafið þig gaman af þessum myndum og fréttum héðan frá Puerto Varas og ekki hika við að senda okkur línu eða fréttir af Landinu í norðri.

Þarna er Krista komin til Parga með Títusi og Tenu. Þeir eru ekki miklir vinir en með Kristu eru þeir ótrúlega góðir.
